Ok—technically there was only one heel, but that’s a minor detail, right?
Hey there! I hope you are having an awesome Wednesday so far! So this is my long overdue post on my trip to Boston. I absolutely love that city, and I will never ever turn down a chance to get dressed up for a Boston outing.
For the event I was attending, I chose to keep it pretty simple. You’ll find that I do that a lot 🙂 I would describe my style as very simple and classic with a hint of trendiness. Basically, I’m a total sucker for anything classic but I also tend to fall prey to some of the trends each season. I chose to not bring a purse or wristlet, something I don’t normally do, but the less things to carry with crutches, the better.
Side note: the reason you don’t see my crutches in these pictures is because I would pick a place to take a picture, get comfortable, and then have someone take my crutches because they are very ugly and don’t photograph well 🙂 Unfortunately I still can’t walk in a boot without crutches, but I’ve gotten very fast at hobbling with crutches!
Anyways, I am wearing this white dress from Express, which was part of a great sale when I bought it, and is currently on sale online if you want to check it out! It is super comfortable and great for a light, flowy summer dress. For me summer is all about dresses and rompers, especially ones in light colors. I highly recommend this dress!
Realizing that I would have to wear a boot with this look was kind of a bummer, I was especially worried about which shoes I would wear. But then I realized that instead of wearing plain flats, a high heel would actually help me, score! I’m not usually big on heels, but for fancy events, why not? Anyways we found these blue heels that were super cheap – $14! I love a good deal and these heels couldn’t have been better.
really comfortable + low heel for stability with crutches + cute design in my favorite color = the perfect shoes!
Or should I say shoe…
So that was my outfit, I also wore pearl earrings and a few simple rings. Gotta love the classics!
After my event, I headed over to the Prudential Center Mall, which if you are ever in Boston — is gorgeous and a must-see. I fell in love with a cute gourmet candy store there called Sugarfina, it’s so beautiful! I’m a gigantic sucker for anything with pineapples, and have been for years, so when I saw these babies I knew I had to pick them up! I also love Paris, so the Parisian Pineapples are basically me in candy form 🙂 The packaging is incredible, but they are also delicious! Yeah, that was my little trip to Boston, anyways…
Hope you enjoyed my first fashion post (we had way too much fun taking these photos, especially the ones in the old-fashioned dressing room)!
