I have to say, Basin is one of my favorite stores. And these solid perfumes are some of my favorite products of theirs. If you’ve never heard of it, Basin is a bath and body store which has a shop in Disney Springs, aka one of my favorite places in the world. They do all sorts of incredible products, but I especially love their solid perfumes. Today I have a full review of three of the perfume scents.
First up is Wild Jasmine
Of the three, Wild Jasmine is definitely the strongest, not usually something I would go for, but it the scent is great. It is, well, like jasmine; exotic, a bit fruity, a bit flowery, and above all, a little intense. This is definitely a scent that I recommend for summer. Thanks to its strength, this scent also stays on the longest, which is a big plus for long summer days.
Next is Blush
Unfortunately, this one has been the biggest let-down. I received it as a gift, like the others, but it just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve found that this one does not last as long as the others, which is its biggest general con. Personally, I really don’t enjoy the scent, but that’s incredibly different for each individual. Maybe you would love it! Like the other scents, it is very strong, but for me the notes of musk are a little too strong.
A quick break to appreciate this packaging! Ok, so simplicity might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for me it definitely is. I love how these scents are packaged, the presentation is what immediately drew me to them. The cuteness and stoutness of the little pots the perfume comes in is right up my alley. I love products in pots and these look especially nice lined up in a drawer or on a vanity (very pleasing to the OCD part of me).
Aaaannnnd we’re back
Finally, we have Vanilla
First off, this scent is my favorite!!!!!! It’s my personal favorite of all three perfumes, and of any scent I own. For someone as picky as me, that’s saying something 🙂 Vanilla is pretty self explanatory, but this is my favorite vanilla scented perfume. It’s sweet, but not too sticky sweet, a big problem that I have with a lot of vanilla scented products. Yeah, I don’t have too much to say about this one, it applies smoothly, stays on well, and above all, smells great! If you are a vanilla lover, definitely add this to your list of things to try.
In general, these are great products. I really love that a little goes a long way with each of these. I’ve been using the vanilla one for two years, and have barely made a dent in it. My one complaint with these is that the product is a little thick, and it would be easier to apply if it was maybe in a tube that could push up the product as you go. I did prefer using each of these straight from the pot, rather than applying with my fingers, and it would be nice to be able to do that forever, not just until you reach a little lower in the pot. This is however, a minor issue. All three scents can be found here, (Blush is now called Lovely), along with a bunch of other scents, so go have a peek and see if any of the scents sound good!
